Noisy dormice
Edible Dormices (lat.: Glis Glis, slo.: polh) make terrible noises around these two little cottages surrounded by forest in Bohinj. They seem to sleep under the roof tiles during the day and use the roof as their playground during the night. They chase each other around the roof and use it as a slide, waking the guests at all hours of the night, most happily just before sunrise.
Fortunately for them they are so cute that the author doesn't want to join some of his fellow countrymen that hunt the little creatures for food. He only hunts them with his camera.
